My earliest memories are going to work with my mom and closing myself in to a dog crate with a dog. I always loved the Golden's and knew some day I would have my own. My dream came true when I was 9. We got our first Golden "Tango". I joined 4-H and trained him to be my best buddy. He was my constant companion. He had over a 250 word vocabulary and countless tricks. His favorite was the annual egg-hunt where he would hunt for plastic easter eggs with hot dogs inside. "Find it" was his favorite game. I could hide anything and he'd be entertained for hours. I was always told that no matter what I chose to do in life, I would always have my grooming and training experience to fall back on. And so I did. I went to work grooming at the Academy of Canine Behavior and also attended their dog training apprenticeship program. Here I am today working with dogs. I have another Golden, Tango II, who is my constant companion at work and play. I love the dogs and clients we have at the shop. The dogs teach me new things daily. I'm doing what I love. How many people can say that?
I live in North Bend and am leash walked by my best friend Tango.

The newest member of our team, Megan, comes with a few years experience as a bather. She has also worked for a local veterinary clinic. She is gentle and yet firm enough to handle some challenging personalities. Bathing is one of the hardest jobs in grooming. What Meagn does is create a clean canvas for us to work with. She gets those dog coats spakling clean and ready to groom. Bather by day, student at night. She is a very hard worker. With a BA in psychology, she is now back in school to learn more.

I started as a dog bather when I was 15 and fell in love. Even though I explored a few other avenues, I always came back to working with dogs. I was born in Yakima but spent 25 years in So. California. I worked for some of the best grooming establishments there, gaining more and more knowledge along the way. When my daughter Danielle was 3 years old, I started a mobile grooming service service. Most of my clients were writers, producers and movie stars of Bel-Air, Beverly Hills and a weekly stop the Fox Studio lot. I created hair cuts for Gilda Radner's Yorkshire Terrier, "Sparkle" and had the joy of grooming Jimmy Stewart's Golden Retrievers "Baron" & "Mara". Pulling in to the Fox Studio Lot to groom all the dogs for the writers and producers of "LA Law" was a blast. I loved my job and I still do!
I moved back to the Seattle area in 1990 when Danielle was 6. I then started another mobile service for the Woodinville, Redmond and Sno-Valley area. While that was taking off, I worked for the Academy of Canine Behavior in Bothell. There I also attended the dog training apprentice program and later started teaching dog obedience classes in the evenings. I also offered in-home board and train to my clients.
Danielle was born in to this business. When she decided she wanted to make this her profession, the U Dirty Dog! partnership was formed. So here we are today.
